Meet the Team


Anita



Barry

Barry has over ten years of cumulative experience working with preschool children. He studied Early Childhood Education at Cerritos College and  began teaching preschool in 1979, then after many years on a different career path returned to the field in 2015. Barry has worked as a preschool teacher, toddler teacher and a substitute, and joined Oakland Garden School / Wildwood Children's School as a floating teacher in 2023. He enjoys the opportunity to visit a variety of classrooms and getting to know all of the children.



Briana

Briana is a bilingual teacher, fluent in Spanish and English. She studied Child Development at Cerro Coso and Peralta Colleges. She has worked in the child development field for over eight years. She began at our Oakland Garden School location in 2018 and made the switch to Wildwood to have the opportunity to work with infants again. Briana has worked across a variety of age groups. She is passionate about building relationships with families and getting to know all of the children and families at Wildwood.


Devon



Emma

Emma is an Oakland native who has been here her whole life. She earned her BA degree at Cal State Hayward where she focused on Liberal Arts and Spanish and her masters in Early Childhood Education and Developmental Perspectives and a teaching credential from Mills College. Emma taught middle school for 13 years before switching her focus to younger children a few years ago. She is passionate about art and gardening and loves painting, crafting, waling, roller skating, and going on adventures.

Lesleigh



Lexi

Lexi joined the OGS/Wildwood family in 2023 with over six years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field. She is passionate about the opportunity to be a part of a child's learning experience and is working on completing her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Dance and Humanities. Lexi grew up in Arizona and came to the Bay Area in 2017. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, hiking, and exploring new places and cultures. She has a pet Gecko named Bonnie.



Libby



Shields



Yushao

Yushao has been working at Wildwood Children's School since it opened in September 2015. She received her Associates Degree from Laney College and holds an Early Childhoold Development credential. Yushao has worked with all preschool ages at Wildwood, and is currently in the Trunks class. She speaks three languages, English, Mandarin and Cantonese. She has worked to teach some Mandarin words and songs to the children in the program. Yushao loves teaching young children and also loves baking.
